Two days with Nokia Maps

Day one... I exit the parking lot at home and Nokia Maps tells me to turn left seconds after I've already turned right.... OK. I'll wait for the drive home.

After work I fire up my holux and wait... Nokia Maps cannot get me out of the parking lot.

OK. I'll take care of that and see what happens. I'm routed South on Lawrence. Soon thereafter the guy keeps tell me to "stay right" on straight road. I'm confused now. After I pass the entrance ramp for 280, which backed up for a block, it tells me to Uturn. No thanks. Second test did not go well. When I got home I set Maps to exclude Highways.

Day two... I exit my parking lot at home and turn left, even though the guy told me to turn left the morning of Day One..... then I'm told to U Turn... ok... them I'm told to turn left... which is a target parking lot... no thanks... I turn right and I'm guided in a reasonable manner to the most congested expressway in the area. oops...

Lets see how it does tonight. I'll change the routing option from quickest to shortest and see if it can lead me home today.

Day Zero with Nokia Maps

Nokia Released the Mac Maploader and emailed me the 90 day license.

I charged up the Holux GPSlim 240

I saved 4 locations; work Frys, Walgreens and home.

Tuesday morning I'll let nokia lead me to work.
